Working Fire in Lisburn

This afternoon Truck 12 responded to McCormick Rd for a house fire. Chief 1-12 arrived on scene to find a working fire in an attached garage. Fire was already making it’s way to the second floor. The residents were not home at the time and the family pets were in the house. Engine and Tanker 24 arrived on scene, forced entry, and got a quick knock on the fire. Mutual aid units along with Truck 12 arrived on scene and assisted with overhaul. Truck 12 was put into service to overhaul the exterior of the second floor above the garage. The garage roof had failed and was unsafe to operate on. Discarded cigarette butts were found to be the cause of the blaze.
