Tuesday Morning as crews were preparing to go out for Fire Prevention, units were dispatched to Simpson Ferry Rd in the area of Weis Markets for a MVA with entrapment. Engine 2-12 and Squad 30 were both quickly on the street. Units arrived to find a mini van had collided with a tractor trailer. The driver of the van was heavily entrapped in the vehicle but was conscious and alert. Crews worked for about 30 minutes to free her. The patient was flown to Hershey Medical Center via Life Lion. Great cooperation and team work between both departments made this incident work very well.
